Balloons , 2018 Acrylic colour on Terschelling raw 300gm,140lb watercolour paper 22 x 30 in., 56 x 76 cm I was inspired by a scene very much like this, at the local Saturday open air market. My version is about movement and balloons dripping of color!Here I used a raw paper, which takes the paint quite differently from a pressed paper. More blotter effect, and the result is rich. The close up pictures give a better sense of the paint, paper and the brush stroke. Then there’s the work in progress in my studio.
